Double Standard Abominations

A typical 21st Century Christian:
“THE LAW HAS BEEN DONE AWAY WITH! IT WAS JUST FOR THE JEWS! WE’RE NOT UNDER THE LAW!!!! WE ARE FREE IN CHRIST!! WE ARE NOT BOUND BY THE OLD TESTAMENT!! STOP TRYING TO PUT US BACK UNDER THE LAW!! Now excuse me while I protest gay marriage and accuse other Christians of robbing God if they don’t tithe to my church.”

Christians crack me up… in a sad way. So many want to cry, “Abomination! Abomination!” while celebrating Ishtar and Nimrod, as they slap YHWH’s name on the profane and stuff their faces with pork, catfish and shrimp after laying down and taking up presents from under a Nimrod boner, which has been erected as a center piece in their living rooms. Yeah, let’s just get real for a few minutes here.
I’m ASTOUNDED at how many are going ballistic right now about this gay marriage thing because MOST of the ones I’m seeing going nuts about this are the SAME people who go psycho about any notion of obeying the Torah! These are the same people who say we MUST keep the 10 Commandments in our schools and courthouses, while simultaneously saying we are “not under the Law” anymore and will ridicule those of us who are actually trying to walk in them ourselves! These are the same people who want to tell us the Old Testament has effectively been done away with, and that the Law no longer applies to Christians, while simultaneously accusing us of “robbing God” if we don’t tithe to their monuments of self-righteousness they call a church building (something NEVER commanded by God for us to build in the first place). These are the same people who think the Feasts and Sabbaths of YHWH are just for the Jews and will accuse people like me of “Judaizing” (or being a cult leader) if we happen to worship on Saturday or participate in the Feasts. They will walk around with their WWJD bracelets and trinkets while mocking those who wear tzit tzits… which by the way is what Jesus did! Now, they want to dust off that crusty old Old Testament thing they rarely pay any attention to – or mock – and use it to go off on this gay marriage deal, while poinint fingers and yelling, ABMOMINATION!
OK. Great. If you want to quote the Old Testament in reference to gays being an abomination, then here’s a few things for YOU to consider as well…
Leviticus 11:
7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an ABOMINATION UNTO YOU:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in ABOMINATION.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an ABOMINATION UNTO YOU.
13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an ABOMINATION: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
15 Every raven after his kind;
16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an ABOMINATION UNTO YOU.

41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an ABOMINATION; it shall not be eaten.
42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an ABOMINATION.
Beyond the unclean eating issues referenced above, many of you guys want to go off on the gay deal as a sexual issue, while ignoring nearly the whole of Leviticus 18, wherein most want to just focus on verse 22 (which is the one that condemns homosexuality). But you are dismissing what it says shortly thereafter:
Leviticus 18:
26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit ANY OF THESE ABOMINATIONS; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
27 (For ALL THESE ABOMINATIONS have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
29 For whosoever shall commit ANY OF THESE ABMOMINATIONS, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.
YHWH (through Moses) is quite clear that men lying with men is not the ONLY thing being referred to there as an abomination. The whole list of wrong doings given in that chapter are! That includes verse 19:
19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
So, if you’ve taken part in uncovering a woman who is on her period, you are participating in an ABOMINATION!
Deuteronomy 12:
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.
29 When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do LIKEWISE.
31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every ABOMINATION to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Deuteronomy 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
Deuteronomy 20:18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God.
As soon as you realize the typical rituals MOST Christians are participating in on X-mess and Ishtar day go back to things done by pagans, to honor pagan gods, and that you may be doing LIKEWISE, you have to acknowledge that YOU have done things that are an ABOMINATION to YHWH too!
Have you ever dressed up as a member of the opposite sex – even for fun or for a joke?
Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for ALL THAT DO SO ARE AN ABOMINATION unto the Lord thy God.
Have you ever divorced, then later remarried the first spouse after they had been with another person?
Deuteronomy 24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is ABOMINATION before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
And lest you think you are good-to-go so far, feeling quite holy, have you always lived in perfect righteousness? If not…
Deuteronomy 25:16 For all that do such things, and ALL THAT DO UNRIGHTEOUSLY ARE AN ABOMINATION unto the Lord thy God.
OK? Yeah. Keep throwing rocks in glass houses. It’s not going to go well for you.
Now, should we be happy about gay marriage? Of course not. It’s wrong! But then, neither should we condone “Christianizing paganism” and doing a whole lot of other things we Christians do far too often without considering how YHWH feels about those things either. So, if you really want to “clean house” start with your own. If you are so concerned about the future of America consider…
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Turning from YOUR wicked ways means getting the idols out of your life! Eating the way the Creator intended for us to eat. Remembering the Sabbath and keeping it holy. STOPPING pretending that X-mess and Ishtar day celebrations and Nimrod boners in our living rooms have anything to do with our Savior and getting back to doing His HOLY days in His ways! Stop building church buildings that cost lots and lots of money, which needs to be paid for, while using “tithe” money to do so, thus taking away funds from doing real ministry (James 1:27)! This is just the tip of the iceberg of things that WE are doing wrong, while gathering stones to throw at others.
And just so you know: atheists and homosexuals DO see through our hypocrisy. So, if you really want them to listen to what you have to say, start trying to live it out first yourself. I’m not writing this to in any way suggest I am perfect myself. I’m certainly not. I fail YHWH all the time. I’m writing this to say if we are going to cry “abomination” we need to be certain we’re not living a double-standard ourselves. If you are going to claim that we no longer need to obey or walk in the Torah (or anything in the Old Testament for that matter), and that Christ set us free from the Law and we are all now at liberty, then you need to embrace and rejoice in the new found “freedoms” and “liberty” the homosexuals are now enjoying too. Because, just like you, they are not “bound” by that Law any more than you apparently are. That’s right. Either we are ALL still bound by the Godly, moral, sexual and dietary laws of Scripture, or not. You can’t have it both ways.

At this point in my walk with God I’ve come to realize that observing the Sabbath is a given and we’re supposed to keep it holy just as God said to, as well as keeping the feast days and not following after the pagan holidays that man created as well as not following the teachings of the church fathers and or the teachings in the talmudic writings. I guess the issue for me as a believer is the 613 laws and mandates, I think a lot of believers get hung up on the fact that many of these are just not doable in this century and or societal construct we live in, such as sacrifices and stoning our children. I’m sure contextually speaking each one is completely understandable, I guess I’m just not there yet in my studies.
