A New and IMPROVED “Great Awakening” is taking place

Published by Rob Skiba on January 11, 2015 at 6:42 PM

When I first started to understand who I am, and I began to talk and write about it, many labeled me a member of the so-called “Hebrew Roots Movement.” I have consistently distanced myself from that label however due to many things that I flat out disagree with that are being taught by some of the more prominent leaders within that now so labeled movement.

In acknowledgement of the fact that I don’t really fit into any other labeled box people keep trying to stuff me into either, last year, I came up with the concept of the Whole Bible Movement:

That is cool and I certainly still believe in it, but still, it does not convey the totality of what I believe is happening around the world. Make no mistake, there IS a “movement” that is rapidly growing and while it is a move back to the Hebrew scriptures and finding our true identity (roots) in Christ (as Israel), I think I’ve found a title that best fits what I personally believe and am most comfortable with applying to myself. Before revealing what it is, please read the following notes and watch the Yahuwah Triangle Part 3 video (all linked below), which go into a lot more depth on the subject. After you do, you will see exactly why what I am suggesting is a good fit.

After careful consideration of what I have been learning, writing about and teaching in the above, I’ve come to believe that there is perfect “label” which does describe exactly what is happening… and so far I’ve not personally heard anyone use it yet.

In Ezekiel 37, we see that there are only 2 sticks: one representing the Northern Kingdom (10 tribes of Israel, which collectively became known as Israel/Ephraim) and one representing the Southern Kingdom of Israel (which included Judah and Benjamin, but became known simply by the name of Judah). You are either represented by one of those sticks or you are not. If not, that means you have not yet been grafted (Romans 11) and adopted into the Commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2). If you are a Believer, then you are part of the cultivated olive tree that is “spiritual Israel” (see the graphic at the top).

When it comes to the whole house of Israel, Ephraim has been asleep in exile for 2,730+ years. I believe only now is he finally awakening to who he is. In short, the “prodigal son” has gotten sick of playing in the pig-slop and has realized he is bankrupt from doing things his way… and is now returning to his Father (Malachi 4). Now more than ever, I am realizing that this is indeed a MASSIVE fulfillment of prophecy taking place! The implications are staggering when you take it all in and really begin to see what is happening. So, the phrase,“The Ephraim Awakening” popped into my head as a way of describing all of this.

Historians talk about at least 3 (some say 4) “Great Awakenings” in U.S. history:

The term Great Awakening can refer to several periods of religious revival in American religious history. Historians and theologians identify three or four waves of increased religious enthusiasm occurring between the early 18th century and the late 19th century. Each of these “Great Awakenings” was characterized by widespread revivals led by evangelical Protestant ministers, a sharp increase of interest in religion, a profound sense of conviction and redemption on the part of those affected, an increase in evangelical church membership, and the formation of new religious movements and denominations. – Wikipedia

The first Great Awakening was said to have started in 1700s. The second during the latter half of the 18th century, progressing into the middle of the 19th. The third is generally thought to have been between 1850 and 1900. There is debate as to whether or not a 4th Great Awakening happened in the mid 60s to about 1980. Whatever the case may be, I believe this Ephraim Awakening will trump them all… and perhaps it already has.

But with any awakening, some respond differently:

  • Some wake up happy and ready to start a “new day.”
  • Some wake up late and are upset the alarm didn’t go off sooner – or that no one woke them up at the appropriate time – because there is a LOT to do and little time left in which to do it.
  • Some are angry that the alarm has gone off so early and so they hit the “snooze button” in order to continue sleeping a bit longer.
  • Some wake up with a hangover and their head is pounding from being drunk the days before.
  • Some would like to keep others asleep forever and hope they never wake up.

I’m sure there are other responses, but you get the picture. Not everyone “wakes up” the same way at the same time. I was probably best described by the second group listed above. When I saw the truth, I was happy to start a new day, but upset no one told me to get up sooner. I was frustrated because it feels like there is so little time left and soooooo many are still sleeping and so few are doing anything about it. Hence, my repeated cries for everyone to “WAKE UP! Time is short!”

I have a greater understanding of my own thoughts and actions as a result of this revelation concerning Ephraim’s Awakening. I also now understand why so many – for instance – are still unwilling to give up pork and pagan holidays. They’re still eating, drinking, playing and sleeping in the pig-pen. I liked it there too – just like the Prodigal Son did, until he finally woke up to the state he had allowed himself to get into. He then humbled himself and drug his sorry butt back home to the Father, who much to his surprise welcomed him with loving arms. As I’ve come back to my Father, I have felt love like never before and I look back at my old days in the Babylonian pig-pen with disgust. I know many feel the same way, but we all have friends and family who “don’t get it yet” and think we are the crazy ones. This is why I think the phrase “The Ephraim Awakening” is really good. It can help open the door to dialogue and not come with all the wackiness of things like the Hebrew Roots Movement.

The thing to also keep in mind is, few people wake up and just hit the ground running, looking good and smelling good. LOL! I know I don’t. It takes a good hot shower, a shave and comb/brush through the hair, some descent clothes and a good meal to get me going. I’m sure the same is true for all of you. Since we are all JUST WAKING UP, we still have that morning “goop” in the eyes. We probably need to blow our nose. We need to go to the bathroom and get rid of some waste. And we probably need to do something about that “morning breath” too. This is the process I think we’re all in right now. None of us have this stuff all figured out. But the first step is waking up. The rest will follow.

Now don’t get it into your head that I’m trying to start a “cult” and am looking to set myself up as the leader of it. I’m not. I desire for no one to “follow me.” In fact, I regularly tell people NOT to believe me but to search all things out for themselves and follow ONLY the Holy Spirit’s leading. So, that’s not what this is about. Since MANY seem to want to label me, I was just trying to think of a good one that actually fits the totality of what I believe.

Although there are others out there talking about this same truth concerning Israel/Ephraim, I’ve not heard anyone else use the exact phrase “The Ephraim Awakening” before. Thus, as far as I know, it is original and it is not being used in any way contrary to what I believe. Therefore, I just purchased the domain “ephraimawakening.com.” I’m not sure what I will do with it, or if I’ll even have time to do anything at all, but I decided to get it in case I do have the ability to start loading it full of information concerning Ephraim coming out of his “identity crisis.” Maybe someone out there can help me with this?

Regardless, at least now I have a “label” that I can feel comfortable with, that as far as I know does not have any “baggage” attached to it. So, if and when people keep trying to slap a label on me, I’ll correct them and say, “Nope. I’m not any of that. I believe I am simply a part of the Ephraim Awakening that is spreading across the globe in fulfillment of prophecy.”

This is a shoe that fits me best, so I think I’ll wear it. You are more than welcome to do the same. 🙂

Rob – who is the “Israel” being referenced as regathered in Ezekiel 37 and 38/39 as well as the Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah? This is the only part of the “Ephraim Awakening” that still has me asking questions of the scriptures/Abba. I can’t decide if it’s a timing thing (after the appearing of Yeshua) or just before the Jacob’s trouble? Who will be the Israel in the land at that time?

    • RobSkiba2 says:

That is the “true Israel” however, Ezekiel 37 – 39 has not happened yet. He has not yet gathered together the two sticks and brought them into the land. That happens after the Tribulation.
